Butterfly, el último drone israelí (una micro aeronave no tripulada), es la última tecnología en aplicaciones militares.
Con un peso que no supera los 20 gramos, es el sistema más pequeño de su tipo hasta el momento, siendo capaz de recolectar datos sin ser percibida dentro de cualquier lugar.
El nuevo mini dispositivo de vigilancia puede tomar fotos a color, realizar despegues verticales y vuelos estacionarios, de la misma manera a como lo realizaría un helicóptero.
Una de las grandes utilidades de esta mariposa, son las acciones por tierra, en donde un soldado podría desplegar este drone de manera inmediata desde su bolsillo y enviarlo a la zona enemiga para recopilar información necesaria.

Es un sistema completamente silencioso, agita sus alas 14 veces por segundo, siendo casi traslúcida, con una cámara integrada y una tarjeta de memoria; el drone es manejado mediante control remoto con un casco especial que permite ver lo que el dispositivo capta en tiempo real, convirtiendóse así en uno de los sistemas más eficaces y de última tecnología en el mundo israelí militar hasta el momento.
